Week 42: The miracle of the white jumpsuit

Good morning loved ones!! I hope you all had a wonderful week.

Gustavo was baptized!! And I have to tell you guys literally the coolest story of my life. Because of a super long series of events, Gustavo had to be baptized yesterday before Sacrament meeting started. So we planned everything certinho and we had lunch with Gustavo and his family and then we went to the church in Uber (super fancy). We arrived there on time, but as we were searching for the white jumpsuit for Gustavo, we could only find a baby sized jumpsuit (Jk not literally baby sized that is an abomination but like for an eight year old). And so we were frantically searching in this tiny room that is where the jumpsuits stay but also they put everything else there, it’s like those storage rooms that everyone just throws in the stuff that they don’t know where else to put hahaha. So we were throwing clothes around and everyone was waiting and Sacrament meeting would start soon and in the midst of this tumult, I thought, let’s pray. Obvs. And so we prayed and literally the moment that the prayer ended, Gustavo, his inspired spiritual self, said calmly, “I wonder if it’s under that posterboard” and we looked under a giant posterboard that was on the highest shelf and, lo and behold, there was a white jumpsuit that was perfectly Gustavo’s size. And it was the most happy moment of our lives, we started screaming and jumping and crying and praising Heavenly Father. And Gustavo hahaha. And then we went and he was baptized and he said he felt like he was floating and that he was super happy and it was wonderful.

And so we see how the Lord provides the way for those that trust in Him 🙂

Also, I gave a talk in Sacrament Meeting yesterday about trusting in the Lord, which was perfect. Something that I am having to learn a lot here on the mish. But this is one thing that I know for certain, that the Lord provides for those who put their trust in Him.

Alma said,
And thus we can behold how false, and also the unsteadiness of the hearts of the children of men; yea, we can see that the Lord in his great infinite goodness doth bless and prosper those who put their trust in him…for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day. (Helaman 12:1, Alma 36:3)

And all we have to do is trust in Him! How good is our Savior.

Also transferencias!!!!! Guess what!!! I stayed!!! This is now my fourth transfer in Jardim Vila Nova…. which I am STOKED because I LOVE this area and the people here and we have a lot of investigators with lots of potential and I am trusting in the Lord that He has something else for me to do here.

I love you all!!! Trust in the Lord. Love Him. Come to know Him.
